Crab & Spinach Dip

Serves: 4


  • 200g Cream cheese, soften at room temperature
  • 75g frozen Spinach, thawed
  • 125g Crab Meat (real or imitation)
  • 150g Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 50g Spring Onions, chopped finely


  1. Preheat oven to 190 degrees C and place oven rack to middle position.
  2. In a mixing bowl combine softened Cream Cheese, Spinach and Crab Meat and mix.
  3. Add half of Cheddar cheese to the mix, reserving some for garnish. Add Spring Onions and mix thoroughly.
  4. Place the mixture in an ovenproof dish, and garnish with remaining cheddar cheese.
  5. Bake in oven for about 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted and toasted on top.
  6. Serve hot with corn or pita chips.

Chef’s tips: for a lighter dip, replace Cream Cheese with Sour Cream.
